QUANTRO Therapeutics appoints Dr. Elmar Maier as Chairman of the Advisory Board

Dr. Elmar Maier, who has been involved in founding several biotechnology companies over the past 25 years, was appointed Chairman of QUANTRO’s Advisory Board.

Vienna, Austria, 30 April 2021: QUANTRO Therapeutics GmbH announced the appointment of Dr. Elmar Maier as Chairman of its Advisory Board. Dr. Maier has a long track record in the business development of life science companies. Over the past 25 years he has been involved in founding several biotechnology companies, including GPC Biotech AG and iOmx Therapeutics AG, and has served on the boards of several private and publicly listed biotech companies. He has negotiated a number of major research and development collaborations and supported several companies through significant equity financings and M&A transactions.

Dr. Maier holds a degree in chemistry and received his doctorate from the University of Konstanz. He worked as a scientist at the ICRF Laboratories in London, United Kingdom, and served as a department head at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin. Before joining QUANTRO he was already a supervisory board member at several biotech companies.
